Procedure for classifying

Step 1: Create a raster for editing

a) Calculate stats on image b) Reclassify with highest DN value = 1, if < highest DN = 0 c) Add to map

Step 2: Edit using ArcSCAN

a) symbology - Classify to 2 themes b) Layout view - add measured grid b) Start Editor, Raster Cleanup, start editing c) Paint away!

Step 3: Save Frequently!

ArcSCAN has a habit of crashing a) save edits b) stop Raster Cleanup c) Stop editing d) export SCA map
